Thanks to our friend William Ramsey for bringing this post to our attention. It’s from a Facebook page to promote a book by David McGowan called “Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon.” It’s a book about the hippie scene in Laurel Canyon, CA in the 60s. McGowan is also author of the book “Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder.” Don’t know a lot about Mr. McGowan, but would like to thank him for digging into the WM3 case and not just believing what he’s seen the media. It appears he became interested in the WM3 case because he’s doing a book signing at Book Soup, a book store in LA, just a few days before Echols this summer. Go to the link below and find this post, and join in a great conversation about the WM3 case going on over there, if you are interested. Thanks again to Mr. McGowan for helping spread the facts about the WM3 case. Here is his Facebook post: “Im curious to know what everyone thinks of the so-called West Memphis Three? Just found out that Book Soup, where I will be making a personal appearance on June 22, will be hosting Damien Echols just two days later, on June 24. Curious timing, to say the least, given that Echols is currently the darling of some of the musical heirs of the LC scene (Eddie Vedder, Henry Rollins, Natalie Maines, Metallica, Disturbed, etc.), and given also that his bio reads like a plot summary of Programmed to Kill.”
