This South Korean gambling saga is a follow-up to the 2006 box office hit Tazza: The High Rollers. In Tazza: The Hidden Card, Dae-gil is a young man who learns he has a natural-born talent in gambling, which leads to a reunion with his first love, Mi-na. However, being new to the world of card sharks and con artists, Dae-gil gets tangled in a web of conspiracy and betrayal, becoming the scapegoat of a deal gone wrong and is forced to go on the run. He plans his revenge and prepares for one big fateful game, with Mi-na helping him every step of the way. South Korean actor and singer, CHOI Seung-hyun (also known as T.O.P of BIG BANG) plays HAM Dae-gil, the fearless and natural master of gambling. SHIN Se-kyung (Hindsight, Deep Rooted Tree) plays Dae-gil’s first love, HEO Mi-na, and KIM Yun-seok (Tazza: The High Rollers) returns as the villain, a legendary monster gambler, Aw-kwi. This highly anticipated film sequel is directed by renowned director, KANG Hyeong-cheol (Scandal Makers, Sunny). Kang’s first two films have been the highest grossing Korean films of their respective years both being in the top 15 highest Korean films. “Well before my directorial debut, I was a huge fan of director CHOI Dong-hoon’s Tazza: The High Rollers,” said Kang, “I wanted to direct the sequel by not only staying true to the source material but also adding my own unique style and perspective to the story.” Gambling saga Tazza: The High Rollers, totaled a 6.85 million box office admissions in 2006, and now returns with the sequel Tazza 2, already reaching 3.1 million admissions since its September 3 premiere in Korea. Tazza: The Hidden Card is distributed by CJ Entertainment, presented by Lotte Entertainment, and produced by Sidus Pictures and Lotte Entertainment.
