Thanks to the Don Jeffrey Woodward for the 5 dj challenge I understand it is to be the top 5 DJs who were influential to me when I started. I also want to reveal the 5 most influential Before I ever owned a stitch of gear. We will call this the 5 B-side. Top 5 most influential relevant today. #1 The Don© Mr. Jeffrey Woodward- For inspiring me that there was more to life as a dj then House and Techno and completing the journey thru Genres with me in my learning from the 1960s up to the present. And Introducing me to Too many Motown DJ Legends to list. #2 Theresa MizzChavez for showing me the art of the transition in vinyl format, the proper beatmatch, and educating me on whats what in Detroit and encouraging me to keep going. #3 Mr. Terrence Parker the Telephone man himself. T.P. was a favorite even before I ever touched my 1st TT. The fact that he even knows who I am and supports what I do Gives me the Drive to Do me. #4 Gregory K Merritt a.k.a. DJ Disc...Detroit and Founder of Detroit Deep Sessions. Woodward nominated me for induction into D.D.S. via Mr. Merritt in May of 2012 And they were the 1st collective orginization to bring me on board. I owe alot of my skills and techniques to all of my brothers and sisters that represent Deep Sessions even our Satellite branch Deep Sessions West in Denver,Co. Mr. Merritt has been a staple in keeping it together out here and instrumental in mentoring. #5 is a tie between 2 greats Jennifer Witcher a.k.a. Ms. Queen Beats DJ Minx And DJ Mike Shadow the Very First Major players to let me open for them and taught me to follow my heart. List 2 (5 B-side) #1 DJ Joygasm for introducing me into the Detroit Scene circa 1997! Showing me all the raves and hot spots, afterhours etc. Etc. Circa 1998 in his basement screwing around with a dual cassette deck with eqs Brian Says (One Day you are going to be a great DJ) I dont know about great lol but a DJ yes.
