Thanks to the dynamic Pat Shiel, this is from todays Sydney Morning Herald: Column 8 joined forces on Thursday morning with that wondrous wizard of the wireless, Angela Catterns, and achieved the impossible – putting the music of Frank Zappa to air on 2UE. We are both quietly confident that this is a first in Sydney radio. You see, Column 8 has a chat with Catterns every weekday after the 9.30 news, and were discussing the Petulant Frenzy gig on April 13 (Column 8, Thursday). The good news is that 2UE and Column 8 are giving away two double passes to the show at the Lewisham Hotel. The bad news is that you have to be the first (and second) to answer an incredibly obscure Zappa trivia query. So either email Column 8, or call Catterns on 13 13 32 during the show, with the answer to this question – what was the name of the 1950s monster movie Zappa refers to with the words pup tent affair on his 1974 Roxy & Elsewhere LP? (The tickets were snapped up instantly by, presumably, your average 2UE listener..)
