Thanks to the help of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, our Youth Enrichment Center will have bright colors, open space, computer workstations, and a living wall garden! Architectural renderings soon to come from our partners at BNIM Architects! Thank you to those of you who have continued to believe in us and have assisted in growing the organization through the offering of your time, talents, and treasures. Help us continue to improve our space and provide high quality programming at CYC. Your support helps us impact over 4300 youth across the metro, but more specifically, our students like Jacinda and Lucia. After two years in our mentoring program, Jacinda made the decision to pursue college, a path she is now prepared and supported by her mother to take. Lucia, a 5th grade refugee, who was reluctant and guarded this summer, has voluntarily reached out to CYC regularly, and has introduced us to her two brothers, cousin, and her mother. All of whom now know CYC as a safe haven in the neighborhood. We are keenly aware that we could not do our work without your support. CYC provides multiple ways for you to donate to the organization. To help ensure long-term programming, donate to our CYC endowment or current programming needs by visiting our website at cyconcepts.org/support. While there, check out our other needs that can be provided in-kind or through volunteering. Current pressing program financial needs include funds for volunteer background checks, toilet paper, hand soap, healthy snacks, and program materials such as tickets for match activities. To make sure we have the resources to sustain the programming in our new Youth Enrichment Center and leverage an additional 10% of all funds donated, donate to CYC through the Principal Birdies for Charity program at https://events.r2it/birdies/DefaultPage/BirdiesDefault/Default.aspx?site=PrincipalCharityClassic&siteId=84 Thank you for supporting our students!
