Thanks to the kind donations of many friends, here on FB, at work and in the Chicago Catholic Cursillo, weve managed to accumulate a car load of blankets, heavy coats, sleeping bags, hats, gloves and scarves to provide people who cannot or will not go to a shelter over the next couple days. We were also able to put together, so far, 20 survival packets which includes: hand/foot warmers, emergency blanket, dry socks, a Cliff Bar, a southside and northside map of shelters, a poncho and a $10--15 restaurant card. We have more restaurant cards, warmers and emergency blankets to hand out individually as well. If you know of a site where we can find dead winter campers, please let us know. thanks everyone.
