Thanks to the select few that made deleting certain friends so easy. Can we please use these horrible circumstances as the catalyst to send racist and ignorant friends the message that they, like any religious extremists, will not be tolerated. Here is my rant. Feel free to share it. The real issue Australia faces is the small percentage of ignorant racists generalising entire communities over the acts of a select few extremists. If you dont support Australias freedom of choice of faith and religion, get out. If you dont believe in supporting people and a community in need, get out. If you support any form of bully tactics based on where someone is from, how they look, how they dress or what religion they follow, get out. If you feel its right to vilify, abuse or condemn someone based on their beliefs or looks, get out. Generalising and perpetuating hatred towards any group of people, be it Gay, Black, Asian, Muslim, Jewish, Short, Tall, Fat, Skinny, White, Tattood, or who ever is un-Australian and a sign of ignorance. The only difference between a bunch off nut job extremist Muslim terrorists and a bunch of red neck racist Australians is that at least the Muslims can use the excuse that they come from a war torn country with little or no education, have been brain washed and havent been given the gift of free thought, speech or exposure to other cultures. Australia is built on multiculturalism. We are a sympathetic and understanding country. We do not tolerate racism and this ignorant superiority complex. If you dont like the way this country thinks, acts and responds, piss off.
