Thanksgiving, 19 years ago, the papers from my exs filing for divorce arrived. Wed had some18 years before that, several pretty rocky, and the following 6 years werent any real picnic either. But shes happily remarried now, so am I, and our children have pretty much come to terms with it. Thanksgiving has come to mean many things, and all of them mean family. Im happy that Ive been adopted into another family, happy that my children are all high achievers with families of their own, and Im happy that the ex has found someone else to fill out her life with. But Im particularly thankful that my friend at the time, Diana, hung in there with me, and eventually consented to become my wife. Truth is, I asked here several times over the years, until she finally consented to marry my in 2001. Our lives have circled each others dreams and propped up each others hopes, and sustained the others through a myriad of trials and tribulations...and we come to love one another in a way that brings out the best in each of us. Im thankfull that we have had these years, and that there is no end to them in sight. Happy thanks giving, to all my family and friends, where ever you are.
