Thanksgiving Thought from a Caveman: We live in the most modern times there have been; when we use a computer, a cell phone, a camera, drive a vehicle, even turn on a light, these are common day conveniences that in the past were only a dream or vision, or if people from hundreds of years ago could suddenly see they would be astounded with what they saw. When we sometimes complain about losing cell service, slow internet connections, or even slow traffic, keep in mind that its a wonder to even live in a time when we have these devices at all- near instant communication, the ability to travel to far away places, etc. If things in the world change soon to where life or society as we know ceases to exist, we can say we were the ones who experienced humankinds possible height of technology, and if the world does go on, maybe someday today will become to people the primitive past. Today as you look around at things we so often take for granted, remember that the ability to use a computer or drive a car or turn on the heat was someones imagination or dream at one time, and we get the honor of experiencing it in reality. So be thankful for those who dreamed and had ideas, and all those who worked hard to implement those ideas into reality over time, as well as those who fought to give us our freedom and ability to use them to share these times with family, friends and loved ones.
