Thanksgiving didnt go as I would have hoped for Riley but we are still thankful! He spent just a little bit of time at Jasons moms home before he was back home. Riley struggled with a cough or the need to cough which is so hard for him to do without assistance and he just wanted to be home. He was feeling better within a few hours and able to enjoy some of the great food we brought home! Hard to explain since he cant cough but needs to and hard to watch him struggle as well as it just wipes him out. He didnt sleep well last night but has had a good day today. His congestion is a lot better and hasnt had the need to cough as often. Riley is already down for the night but not without making plans for breakfast! He is always thinking about his next meal despite being extremely picky and usually doesnt eat a lot. He loves to cook and just enjoy good food--did I mention though he is very picky!!! We are limited on food choices lol. Despite yesterday not being the best for Riley for a few hours we still enjoyed the day. His struggles are always a reminder of how far he has come and yet how far he still has to go. This a marathon, not a sprint. He is a lot stronger than where he was a few months ago and I cant wait to see how strong he will be in a few months. We just have to keep him healthy and moving forward. Please continue to pray for Riley. Pray that his congestion continues to improve and he stays strong enough to fight it. God is good always and we are so blessed! Karla
