Thanksgiving is today. First one Ive spent in Texas in three years and Im thankful to be home. Im thankful that last year I spent Thanksgiving in India chanting with fellow yogis. Im thankful the year before I spent Thanksgiving in Chile with new friends. Im thankful the last time I spent Thanksgiving in Texas that I got to hug my Grandmother for the last time. She knew then it would be the last one we spent together and though I didnt want to believe it to be true, she left this earthly world one year ago. And she left behind a lifetime of lessons in living, loving and being. Im thankful for every moment I had with her. Im thankful for every moment Ive had and have with my parents, my sisters, my brothers-in-law, my nieces and nephew, my friends, their kids, my pups, the people who have come into my life and the ones who have left. For each person has come for a reason and be it a lifetime or a moment in life, I have been impacted. Today and everyday Im thankful. Last but certainly not least, Im thankful for yoga and what it has given me, opened my heart to so very much!!
