Thanksgiving with a Veteran Flash backs, and reflections. smiles mixed with tears, make a toast with lifted beers. To all my fallen comrades, whore not here to see this day, I humbly invoke your memory, and this is what I pray. I ask for God to comfort, your family and your friends, have them celebrate your life, and not your tragic end. I pray that youll be watching, observe me on this sphere, because I dont feel worthy, and my purpose isnt clear. I wonder why I remain, and you are but a whisper, I think about your mom and dad, and your broken hearted sister. I see the tribute they all make for their departed soldiers sake And I dont recall a night or day, when I dont recall you at all..... You are sorely missed comrade.
