Thankyou America for not voting in Mitt Frack Drill n Fill Romney… this project was dead if the big R had its way. Stanford would be working on ways to pump more oil down that Keystone Pipeline... they want us to pay $10,000 a year for gas… forever. These new battery technologies are just the start… If you like 200-300 miles per $7 worth of electricity (rather than $50 gas) wait to see what these car companies come up with when the public REALLY shows support. Go test drive a Volt, even if you buy it it gives the fat belly gas guzzling car salesman something to tell his boss, who will tell his fatter bellied good ole boy corporate CEOs who are all making OPEC and TEXAS oil richer by the day… If you do buy it, know that in 5-10 years youll be swapping out the lithiums for something that will go 500-1000 miles per charge. Fun facts: A child born today will very easily never own a gas powered car. 25 years from now the thought of an explosion in your engine making cars move will be like telling people TV sets used to have giant fish bowl sized tubes… and phones hung on a wall with a 5 foot phone cord.
