Thankyou for excepting me into the group , our 10 year old Springer was diagnosed with this two weeks ago when she took to her bed, was unable to walk , laboured breathing and high temp , i carried her into the vets thinking the worse and that we would lose her that day , but with treatment of alizin , antibiotics and pain meds she did recover somewhat with the view of being spayed this week , however within 12 days it had returned and we have started the treatment again , hormone injections and other meds to help her till she is spayed this week , hopefully complication free. She has the closed pyometra which is very concerning , we have huge vets bills and the worry of a family member being so ill has been heartbreaking and i fully agree that this should be talked about and everyone made aware of it. Has anyone else had the same hormone treatments?
