That How I’ve tried and tried To run from the obsession Of the face of Love Staring down into The depths of my soul… My soul that stood naked In the Light of its blazing Sun, Bared and seared and wounded By its heat, an ego in flames And burnt to ashes in a desert That became my life – one moment I was Love’s king, cherished And adored as if there were no other Who could possibly be loved as I was – I had never seen such passion and possession By the Goddess of Love herself – Then All of a sudden came flashing across That thunderous and lightning-streaked sky The final blow of the power of Deity With the same force as the Divine Fire of Love, Cold steel tearing into my flesh, my body limp And shattered into non-existence…even The slightest impurities of the body of my soul, Shredded, fell like flakes of wasted snow Upon a cold and lonely and desolate earth, And the winter of my new life began. I never did recover from that fatal embrace. It was my doom and my saviour grace. It was life and death, black and white, Yin and yang, the me and you, Heaven and earth, hell the shortcut To paradise – So where am I? Who am I? I simply am, Fortunately…Something survived, Something lived that was like a polished jewel Untouched by time, something that was not me But that destiny wanted me to be, And so I am…That! From the book, Dream Threshold, Ajit Sripad Rao Nalkur (2012), Part Four - Of the Spirit.
