That awkward moment... when you come home with a tiny puglet puppy, to surprise your husband & shockingly, he does not share your excitement!.. This actually happened to me! So...in an attempt to convince Richard, of the joys of parenting multiple pups, I submitted the following: a) Honey, little Gigi desperately needed a baby sister! b) Oh, look! Puppy poop totally makes the synthetic grass look even more realistic! c) Just think of the series of childrens books Ill write/illustrate about the Pug & the Poodle & all of their awesome adventures on Avondale! ... Unfortunately, he was nonplused by any of these. But ultimately, my best pitch was this: I am desperately & hopelessly in love with this little bundle of pug. Im naming her SUKI as a nod to her Asian heritage & I want to keep her forever. Just look at this face, honey... At which time, little Suki cocked her adorable head & gave him her most convincing please love me, daddy face. ...and the rest- as they say-is history. WELCOME SUKI!!!
