That moment when you get the 2 mastered tracks for the songs youve been working on for the past year in your email inbox within 5 minutes of each other, and both just completely exceed your expectations...Im tearing up, rubbing the goosebumps off my arms and smiling from ear to ear. (Not saying I think Im all that and a bag of chips lol, Im nothing but a total geekball...nothing but passionate). The musicians and producers/composers I work with are literally bringing my dreams to life in the form of these songs, and I will forever be so grateful for the chance theyve given me to live my dreams through these wonderful working relationships and the art we create together. (This means you Adam Gubman, Composer, Resonance Mastering, Chris Gonzales, Kurt Hunter, Xiphon Audio - David Donges, Joris Hoogsteder and Matt Appleton of Reel Big Fish & Peter Panic. Theres more, but you guys are the current masters of my 2015 music! And of course my ever patient love, Benjamin Hines who also helps with music & recording and bringing these videos to life). Music projects create such a build up in me...every step in the process is the best step. Writing (most of my songs start while driving super late at night in my car haha), to working on the music track with the amazing musicians I get to collaborate with, to the recording process, to the agonizing wait while its being mixed and mastered, then the moment where its a song, really a song!, and you play it for anyone who will listen, creating the album art and video content...and then finally, finally, the release! Then its a whole new adventure getting feedback on that thing youve been developing for so long, and experiencing others experiencing your song. At least...thats how it is for me, haha. Ughhh sorry to be so emotional and wordy today, Im just so, so thrilled for 2015, and to share these songs with you guys! And Im just so happy. Sometimes it feels like youll never get where youre headed, but then suddenly, sometimes it happens, and the wait was totally worth it. Not without work, not without patience, not without tenacity, but you guys, never give up on your dreams. Its never too late. One of these songs is an original, and one is a cover. Ill keep you all posted about the release dates once theyre set and will try to tease some stuff for you soon! Thanks so much for going on this journey with me! ALL THE EXCITE! *dances*
