That moment when you stand up at the podium of the Nassau County Legislative Meeting for your three minutes to speak, and the Presiding Officer tells you they um, lost your speaking ticket. Not that they knew we were coming or anything, lol. And then proceeds to ask who I am. Me? Oh, Im just the leader of Operation STOMP, and I represent the over 3,000 residents who are in direct opposition to this misguided, poorly planned project that has caused irreparable damage to our neighborhoods, the environment, and our health and safety too. Residents who want this unnecessary destruction to cease. Residents who want their voice to be deservedly heard. Residents who want their concerns regarding this project, and future projects, adequately addressed. Residents who are tired of being disregarded and lied to in such blatant form. Residents who have finally said, enough, is enough. You can lose my ticket, you can cut my speaking time, you can embarrass yourself in the process, but you cant keep me, or us, quiet. You are, respectfully, barking up the wrong tree.
