That was a pretty amazing day. A very busy lunchtime and then this evening we celebrated Burns Night. Chris wore his Highland Regalia (looked pretty dashing in his kilt as always) and gave a perfect address to the Haggis. I was very proud of him. People were commenting that it was the best they had had for over 9 years. Praise indeed. Everyone enjoyed the HAGGIS, NEAPS AND TATTIES . The pudding was also enjoyed - Marmalade sponge with whiskey sauce - yummy. Plenty of drinking, a raffle and some Scottish songs were sung. The evening was held by The Open Daw group - a charity organisation supporting the town so we did our bit supporting them by supplying the food and being the venue. A rewarding and fun evening. Our next event will be Valentines.......we are going to be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (13/14 and 15 February) and we shall be offering a 2 or 3 course set menu. Details will be available next week - watch this space! Also in the pipeline is a Karaoke night (60s/70s and 80s music) with a meal, an Italian Evening and a St Georges Day dinner.
