That word racist is used so fluently, and it almost sickens me. To be a racist is to consider your own race superior to another. How dare you tell us that we should have no unity amongst ourselves. We’ve been enslaved, branded, burdened, and forever inflicted with the injustices of one race that has hated us throughout the history of this country, and every time we unit we’re called racist. I can have Black Pride! Black Power, Black Unity, Black Love and I am not saying that I am superior to any other race because God made us all. But to try and take away my right to believe in my culture, to show concern, and pride and be pride, is absorb, and selfish. People have referred to us as less than human, primates, all sorts of hateful things; we are Proud! We are Black and we are Beautiful and if you can’t respect that without feeling slighted I think you have some soul searching to do. Unity shouldn’t rob me of my identity. facebook/doneloreggae
