Thats right! It seems that the vessels are brought into Babylon but the Ark is missing! Take note first that 1Samuel 5 has some things in common with Daniel 1 and Daniel 5: The ark and the vessels of God and Gods punishment on those who mishandled them: 1Samuel Gods hand was against the 5 lords of the Philistines who mishandled the ark placing it in the house of Dagon. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Daniel is the 5th prophetic book where the vessels are mentioned to be brought to Babylon (but no ark). Then this theme is repeated in the 5th chapter where Belshazzar offended God and was killed as the empire was taken over by the Medes and Persians. There is a resume of what happened to Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzars father. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Even though Jeremiah 28 falls on the 6th Spoke of the innerwheel of Jeremiah 2nd Cycle, the 5th month (of the 4th year of Zedekiahs reign) can be associated to Daniel 5, the 5th chapter of the 5th prophetic book. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Daniel is the 5th prophetic book where the vessels are mentioned to be brought to Babylon (but no ark). Since Daniel is on the 5th Spoke on the Biblewheel, but 2nd Cycle, then the 5th chapter of Daniel should have a condensed information from the rest of the chapters. The obvious one to me was comparing Daniel 5 with Daniel 1.
