Thats the point i put up here yesterday. The plane last rader sighting indicated it was well short of distance that should have been covered for the duration 2 hours flight. Malaysia Airlines said that the plane took off at 12.41 am Malaysia time, and that the plane disappeared from air traffic control radar in Subang, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, at 2.40 am. That timeline seemed to suggest that the plane stayed in the air for two hours — long enough to fly not only across the Gulf of Thailand but also far north across Vietnam. smh.au/national/oil-slicks-found-at-sea-in-search-for-malaysia-jet-20140309-34ew0.html
