The 12 disciples are a great representation of the type of people we are called to walk in relationship with. They were a rough bunch and by no means perfect. But God saw past their imperfections and knew they were meant for so much more. As christians our before christ lives probably looked a lot like one of the disciples but after someone showed us love and walked in relationship with us did we get to experience what we were truly created for. So why are christians so hard on nonbelievers? And why is it so hard for us to see past the sin and love the sinner? Why do we pick and choose which sins to condemn and which ones to overlook? We arent called to play God Judge of All. We are called to draw others near to Him through love and relationship. Its just that simple. Get in the muck and mire with them. I promise it wont go against your core belief system. Christ did it....shouldnt we?
