The 17th of Ramadhan brings one resonating thought “WE WON” – at the battle of Badr with 313 against maybe 10,000…. One can picture the battle and see the angels that Divinity sent as reinforcements – And if you ever in your life are confronted with a ‘battle’ then recite 8:9 and 30:3 and He will assist – Tried and tested… KEY CONCEPTS: 1. Plan a strategy for every challenge however overwhelming the odds against you 2. Ask HIM for help just as the Prophet (pbuh) did When you asked for help of your Rabb and He answered you (saying): I will help you with a thousand of the angels, rank on rank. Allah appointed it only as good tidings, and that your hearts might thereby be at ease. Victory comes only by the help of Allah. Allah is Mighty, Wise. 8: 9-10 3. Then do your BEST and hand it over to HIM – HE will deal with it… .And you did not kill them, but it was Allah who killed them. And you threw not, [O Muhammad], when you threw, but it was Allah who threw that He might test the believers with a good test. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.8:17 4. Give 1/5 of the share from your gain….. And know that anything you obtain of ghanimtum (what you gained) - then indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it and for the Messenger and for te near relatives and the orphans, the needy, and the [stranded] traveller, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our Servant on the day of criterion - the day when the two armies met. And Allah , over all things, is competent. 8:41 5. And finally – BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL WIN
