The 1889 steam bike of the Hildebrand brothers. This was a prototype before Hildebrand & Wolfmuller started making the first production run of internal combustion cycles in the mid 1890s. The bike is in storage in one of the warehouses of the London Science Museum. Let me know if there is interest and I can write an article describing the mechanisms with more photos. There are also several paragraphs describing it in the book Motorcycles, Handbook of the Collection Part II by C.F. Caunter 1958
