The 2013 SA Nike Junior Tour (NJT) South African Masters will be hosted by RVTA Tennis Academy and the NWU/Pukke from 4 to 6 October 2013. As was the case in 2012, RVTA and NWU/Pukke came to the party in terms of hosting the prestigious local NJT SA Masters, enabling the top 6 players and 2 wild cards per age group (u12 and u14) to compete for the tile of NJT SA Masters Champions and in so doing, qualify to participate at the Nike Junior Tour International Masters. This year will see the same apply, whereby the respective age/gender winner will qualify to compete in the Nike Junior Tour International Masters which will be played from the 6 to 13 December 2013 at Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St Lucie, Florida, USA. The players best 4 performances at the KeyHealth series events and the Junior Nationals will be used to determine the top 6 positions. The September Junior Nationals and Free State KeyHealth events will be the final two tournaments in the series in which players can hope to qualify for the NJT SA Masters. The NJT Table will be available on the TSA website by lunchtime on Wednesday 29 August 2013. Players who qualify for the NJT SA Masters will need to arrive in Potchefstroom by no later than 15h00 on Thursday 3 October. Players to note that travel to Potchefstroom will be for their own account. Accommodation (sharing) and meals will be covered by RVTA/NWU PUkke. During the course of the Nationals and Free State KeyHealth event further information will be available in terms of updates race tables. A factsheet containing accommodation costs for interested parties to accompany the players will also be available on the TSA website along with booking procedures.
