The 2013 edition of A Guide to Accessing Cape May County’s Beaches and Surf Chairs for People with Disabilities is now available on the Cape May County Website, capemaycountygov.net, through the County Department of Tourism and on the website of the NJ Department of Human Services/Division of Disability Services. This brochure provides detailed information regarding the accessibility of beaches located in Avalon, Cape May City, Cape May Point, Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Stone Harbor, Strathmere in Upper Township and the Wildwoods. Also, it highlights the investment these municipalities have made in surf chairs (Ocean City alone has 54); those beach accessible wheelchairs with large, balloon-type wheels that don’t get stuck in the sand. The 2013 electronic version of the Guide is now available from the homepage of capemaycountygov.net. For more information, CALL (609)-886-2784
