The 2014 Remembrance Day Service in Fremantle was held at the War Memorial on Monument Hill. The service was attended by Senator the Honourable David Johnston, Minister of Defence and Vice Admiral Tim Barrett, AO, RAN, Chief of Navy. This year, the 11th November marks the 96th anniversary of the Armistice which ended World War One (WWI 1914–18). Each year on this day Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
