The 2014 Tweed Tribute to Elvis Festival gets a green light and ramps up their plans to go green! Back in 2012, your Tweed Tribute To Elvis Festival began an initiative to make the Festival as ‘green’ as possible. The provision of a village shuttle service was introduced to reduce the number of personal vehicles being driven around the Village of Tweed during the weekend, and we also transitioned from gas to electric “site shuttles”. In 2013 we expanded our recycling program, with great success. We would like to remind our guests to support our greening initiative by “lugging their own mug” or “bringing their own place setting or cutlery”. Discussions are currently underway with our Vendors to replace plastic with easily recycled or composted “green” alternatives where possible. Help us meet our objectives and make our 2014 Festival a “green” one!
