The 2014 Womens World Cup kicked off today in Linz, Austria. European and Asian players dominated the group stage, while representatives of Africa, Latin America, North America and Oceania were eliminated. Top seeds such as Ding Ning, Li Xiaoxia, Kasumi Ishikawa and Seo Hyowon already know their opponents in the main draw. Top seeds already had opponents in the main draw of the 2014 Womens World Cup.
