Dr. Melson and Chris Seibert ran good campaigns, and both candidates and their families worked very hard. I supported Chris and endorsed him in this race, and was disappointed that we lost, but have a great deal of admiration and respect for him, his family, and supporters. I know Chris will still be a member of our City Council, and I think he will have a bright future in the political arena. I will endorse and support Dr. Melson, our Republican candidate for our Senate District as he goes up against former House member, Mike Curtis in November. I also want to congratulate both Stanley Hill and James Shannon for the campaigns they and their families and supporters carried on in our community. They worked hard and seemed to treat each other with great respect.Congratulations to Stanley, Peggy, and their family and supporters for a good win. I know Stanley will work hard as our new County Commissioner in District One. Congratulations also to Wayne Reynolds and Jim Burden for good campaigns. Congratulations to Wayne for a big win
