The 2015 Hilti Big Data Analytics Competition The competition website: hilti/it-innovation-2015 Hilti would like to invite your students to take part in the 2015 Hilti Big Data Analytics Competition. The competition aims at leveraging Big Data technologies within Hilti Online webpage (hilti) to use data-driven customer insights for tailor-made leads and to provide a 1:1 marketing experience. It is a good opportunity for your students to apply their knowledge to a real world scenario in data mining and Big Data as well as to have easy access to a paid internship at Hilti. Important dates: • Submission deadline: Dec. 31, 2014 • Semifinals: Jan. 23, 2015 (select 8 best ideas) • Final round invitation: Jan. 30, 2015 Final competition: Mar. 4-6, 2015 The participants will be guided by our mentors throughout the competition. The final competition is a 2 1/2 day on-site workshop at Hilti Asia IT Service Sdn. Bhd., Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The expenses (transportation, accommodation and meals) will be covered by Hilti. • Prizes: The winning team will be awarded a five-night stay and round-trip airfare to one of Hilti’s strategic IT locations: Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Tulsa (USA) or Schaan (Liechtenstein). The 2nd and 3rd place teams will be awarded Hilti power tools. All finalists will have access to a fast-track application process to a paid internship.
