The 24 Random Acts of Kindness was the best thing I couldve done with my daughter leading up to Christmas. Some of the kind acts she completed were: * Picking up rubbish in our local community * Donating quality used toys to charity * Purchasing and donating a toy to children in need for Christmas * Purchasing a small ornament from the zoo to help endangered animals * Supporting her father in donating blood at the Blood Bank * Donating some of her pocket money to various charities * Purchasing wild bird seed and feeding the local ducks * Writing thank you letters to special people in her life and thanking them for the kind things they do for her. * Making presents for her educators. * Making presents for close friends. * Making and writing her own Christmas cards. Some of these tasks were repeated more than once and we missed the occasional day but overall it was a wonderful experience, especially when I found my daughter making her own book about kindness on one of the days (see attached). This is something I will definately continue in future Christmas periods and at various times of the year with both children and with the school children I teach.
