The 2nd night in Tokyo at Pit Inn (Wednesday) was remarkable: duo of Paal Nilssen-Love and Michiyo Yagi; duo of Akira Sakata and myself; quartet of Akira, Paal, myself and Jim ORourke; encore of all 5 musicians- special music and a superb audience. Paal and I continued to tour to Nagoya for the 5th night of performances in a row; our duo set which followed a trio including Usui Yasuhiro on guitar played to a small but enthusiastic crowd. Friday, our first day since arriving in Japan, started with lunch at a bar with about 10,000 soul and funk albums that had Ultraman on a TV, a Japanese monster action show that I havent seen since I was a kid.
