The 3 good things of the day saluted at Pakenham today, here are the winning reviews: PAKENHAM Race 1 - General Amour (1st, $2.16 BEST TOTE PLUS) Jumped nicely and sat outside the leader, he quickly took over on the turn and kicked away well, was tiring on the line and only just got in by a nose. Race 2 - Glockenspiel (1st, $2.30 TOP FLUC) Was not the best away so settled back midfield the rail, was in desperate need of a run coming to the turn and once it came at the 150m he was able to hot the line very hard to win by the barest of margins. He would have been a moral beaten if he had not have got there. He has a bit of ability and should be able to go and and win more races. Race 4 - The Tinkers Son (1st, $3.73 BEST TOTE PLUS) The Best Bet won but was a bit tighter than we expected. He had a the gun run in behind the speed, hooked out to come out and chase the leader at the 600m and lloked like cruising past on the bend but he had to dig in to get home over the concluding stages. He was up against very poor opposition today but he looks like he can progress to a slightly better class, probably over a longer journey.
