The 31st meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of BSEC member-states in Greece On December 12, the 31st meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of member-states of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, where the results of six-month Greece Chairmanship were summed up. Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shahen Avakian headed the delegation of Armenia and delivered a speech, stating that over the past six months Armenia exerted efforts aimed at the promotion of regional multi-dimensional economic cooperation in different areas, the implementation of the Organization’s agenda, the encouragement of investments, moving forward of Armenia’s economic interests. Importance was attached to the necessity to improve the effectiveness of the Organization. The large infrastructure project to create BSEC Incubators Association on Information and Communication Technologies presented by the Ministry of Economy of RA in the frameworks of newly established BSEC Project Management Unit was mentioned as one of the best examples of cooperation within the organization. The exceptionally economic nature of BSEC was underlined, Azerbaijan’s destructive approaches and its recurring endeavors to politicize the Organization’s activity were condemned. At the end of the meeting dozens of decisions and proposals were adopted by the Foreign Ministers of BSEC member-states. The Chairmanship for the forthcoming six month was transferred to Moldova.
