The 40th anniversary of this albums release is coming up in March. The finishing touches were being done as we speak 40 years ago. A classic was born, the breakthrough album from Earth Wind and Fire Thats The Way Of The World. It was recorded in the fall of 1974 in Colorado. This album was actually the soundtrack to a 1975 movie of the same name in which the band members of EWF played fictional characters of themselves....a band trying to catch their big break. Harvey Keitel was the only known ACTOR to star in the film playing a record producer who worked with the band in the movie. More people heard the music than saw the movie. Even I have only seen part of the movie once on late night TV and I fell asleep. But I could never fall asleep in boredom while listening to an Earth Wind and Fire ALBUM And when people ask me what is my favorite record album I always have an instant double answer without hesitation. I always answer Whats Going On by Marvin Gaye first and a very close tie with Thats The Way Of The World by Earth Wind & Fire. I have both albums in all of the major formats, Vinyl, 8-track, Cassette and Compact Disc. Whats Going On on a special edition CD issued for the 25th anniversary of the albums release in 1996.
