The 41st Annual Blue Ridge Folklife Festival will be held this Saturday, October 25th from 10 am - 5 PM at Ferrum College, near Rocky Mount, VA. blueridgefolklifefestival/ The Blue Ridge Folklife Festival is produced by #TheBlueRidgeInstitute at Ferrum College. Like the Blue Ridge Music Center, the Blue Ridge Institute is one of the 9 Major Venues along #TheCrookedRoad, Virginias Musical Heritage Trail. https://myswva.org/tcr The Folklife Fesitval will have 4 Music & Storytelling Stages. One of which will feature members of Bill Monroes Bluegrass Boys telling tales from their time on the Road with Bill and playing a few tunes. Another stage will feature Old-Time Harp Players: Harmonica Masters from Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. Other activities include: Horse Pulling & Mule Jumping, Coon Dog Treeing & Water Race Contests, Moonshiners Stills & Tales, Sheepherding, Wheat Threshing Demos, Antique Tractors & Engines, plus 50 Old-Time Craftspeople.
