The 50th person (who shall remain anonymous) just made a contribution to my fire recovery fund, bringing the total to $4655 collected online, with some other very generous people sending donations of things and funds by mail and in person. I am simply overwhelmed. With surprise, gratitude, and continued humility. Its been an emotional, uprooting, exhausting, stressful week, filled with huge highs and lows, all things considered. I slept in the tent successfully last night on the property and while it wasnt the first night on the land which I had planned for LAST weekend, pre-fire, it was very nice and being up there alone with the dogs, and with basically nothing sure gave me lots to think about, and be thankful for. Most especially, all of you. Lots to be done to make the place permanently habitable and get some shelter in place in the coming weeks, but its all a matter of taking the next right step, doing the next right thing, and pressing forward. Thank you for your support every step of the way.
