The 5th - 12th Graders of Children’s After School Theater present Bridge to Terabithia, a rousing fantasy adventure about family, friendship, and the wondrous power of imagination. Directed by Dane Rold. Friday May 9 at 7 p.m., Saturday May 10 & Sunday May 11 at 12:30 p.m. in Simkins Hall in The Shelby Center. C.A.S.T. is a community program of First UMC for children in 1st through 12th grade. It fosters positive, imagination-inspired actions while building self-esteem through the arts. It explores writing, developing and producing plays and builds trust and teamwork. C.A.S.T. member Jamie Jones says, “Performing in C.A.S.T. productions allows me to fully express myself and show myself what I am really capable of. It gives me confidence in myself that I can do anything.” Producer Adam Guerrero volunteers his time year after year “because the stage is one of the few places you can witness and affect a youth’s character growth in a positive way.” Don’t miss the show!
