The 5th of July is a thing in Ophthalmology, because people literally shoot their eyes out. So please, be careful this weekend. We saw some pretty devastating stuff last year. A few tips: If something gets in your eye do NOT rub it, you will rake whatever it is against your cornea(the clear tissue on the very front of your eye, its one of the most sensitive parts of your body). Try to rinse the eye out and see a doctor ASAP if pain or vision loss is persistent.
