The 7th run on the spiritual ladder "Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called children of God" This is not so much those who live in peace amoungst men, but those who work to restore peace amoungst men. You will notice in every situation there is 2 courses of action that can be taken .... you can be either gas or water. You see a fire raging, do you pour gas on the fire or do you pour water on the fire? If you pour water, you are a "peacemaker" To Peacemakers are given the HIGHEST of gifts - Wisdom, it is given to the peaceful, that is, those in whom all things are in perfect order and in whom all tendencies obey the intellect as it obeys God. To have things in perfect order, means they are in perfect order with God (not men). The peaceful see things in accordance to God - it is not just enough to "make peace", you have to see the Hand of God, in all things. That all adversity comes directly from God, for our benefit and to work the ways of Divine Providence. Why is this beatitude so high on the ladder, because people prefer to see the devil, they prefer to believe that "all" is his doing. To understand this better, we have to think of Mary "and there at the Cross stood Mary, His Mother" How Ciaphias does the will of God, how evil bows to God. Not the other way around. In our trials and our hardships we get lost in our sorrow, but Mary had Joy in her sorrow. Thus she was the perfect "peacemaker"
