The 9th bi-annual bird survey for our Kosciuszko 2 Coast partnership was held recently between Williamsdale & Bredbo in NSW. Monitoring 40 sites across 21 properties it turned out to be a day for the robins. Scarlet robins (seen on 14 properties), flame robins (3), hooded robins (4) & eastern yellow robins (5) were the stars. As the first 3 are listed as vulnerable in NSW it was encouraging. Other threatened species recorded were the brown treecreeper (on 6 properties), diamond firetail (on 5) & the speckled warbler (just 1). bit.ly/1iV5bgo
