The ACTIVE Lab at Institute for Simulation and Training is in search of Undergraduate Research Assistants (URAs) who can assist with data collection over the fall and spring semesters. These are unpaid volunteer positions, but students will have the opportunity to gain valuable research experience in preparation for graduate school or to learn about “how simulation works.” The goal of our STRIVE (Systems Training Research In Virtual Environments) research is to thoroughly assess implications of utilizing simulation based entities (e.g. constructive actors) in virtual world collaborations and investigate the effects of the training system on the operator. Additional information can be found at our website: active.ist.ucf.edu/ We are looking for four URAs who can meet the following requirements: -Must be in their Junior/Senior year -Have a 3.5 G.P.A. or Higher -U.S. citizen -Be able to commit to at least 8 hours of work a week Students who remain in the lab longer than 2 semesters are eligible to receive a letter of recommendation.
