The AD/HD Society of the Philippines Monthly Seminar Series: Improving School Performance in ADHD Individuals Saturday, August 23, 2013 - 730AM-12NN U.P. Health Service Conference Room, J.P Laurel Street, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Q.C. (Beside the U.P. Shopping Center) OVERVIEW: Learn practical information and tips from those who are 1-on-1 academic intervention teachers. The seminar-workshop is divided into two parts: First, a profile of the reading skills and intervention needs of individuals with ADHD from a reading clinicians perspective. Second, a study skills workshop & lecture rooted in executive skills intervention from a study coach. SPEAKERS: Ms. Christine Joy Asas - Teacher Tin is a practicing 1-on-1 reading intervention teacher. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with a degree in Special Education. She obtained her reading clinicians training from the Readability Literacy Improvement Center and practiced there from 2010 to 2014. Mr. Fiel John Meria - Teacher John is a practicing study coach from upper elementary extending up to the college level for students with executive skill deficits such as those with ADHD and Aspergers Syndrome since 2010. He graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2009 and is finishing his MA in Special Education at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He is also a resource teacher for Mind Matters Christian Academy since 2011 and has been serving on the ADHD Society of the Philippines board of trustees since 2013.
