The APEC Climate Center (APCC) in Busan, South Korea, invites early-career scientists from national meteorological and hydrological services in developing countries to apply as short-term visiting scientists. Eligible APEC countries are Chile, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Scientists from other countries are invited to apply, but preference is for applicants from the listed countries. The selected scientists will use APCCs data and equipment for research on climate prediction and monitoring at intra-seasonal time scales; climate change and impact assessments; and climate informatics and applications for relevant sectors (e.g. water resources management, agriculture, emergency preparedness, etc.).
