The ARIES firmware V1.9 is finally coming. This is a major update version with a lot of preparation task for the coming V2.0 which will introduce Lightning Media Server. Here is the change log: -Fix the bug in V1.8.2 that shuffle function is not really shuffle when press Next button. -Fix the bug that ARIES can not switch out of Songcast mode. -Reduce OLED display buzz noise. -New version of Lightning OS and boot code with better performance. -Add USB driver for 1st generation of M2Tech USB module and Mytek DSD192 DAC. -Maximum track number in device queue now increase to 999. -Introduce sleep function, the boot time after first power up cycle will be only 5-10 seconds depend on network connection quality. -OLED will display text notice when user change device setting, updating boot code and when ARIES can not connect to network. -New UI visual design for OLED display to match the style of Lightning DS -Add TIDAL streaming support (will request a coming version of Lightning DS to work). -Add exFAT and NTFS partition read/write support for USB removable disk (prepare for Lightning Media Server in the future) . -Sound quality improvement (for the first time). -Now compatible with Lumin App again. This update will request reboot of device for 3 times to finish completely. The first reboot is when user press update button in App to start updating. The 2nd and 3rd reboot are automatically without user operation. The OLED display will black out without any display for about 1 minute after 1st reboot when display software been updated. The unit will reboot after display software update successfully. The boot code will be updated after 2nd reboot and a message will be displayed on OLED to warning people not to power off the unit during this stage. The updating of boot code will take about 70 - 80 seconds. The unit will reboot after boot code has been updated. Please make sure not reboot or turn off the unit during the updating of boot code or the unit will no longer able to boot up.
