The Aam Aadmi Party has mercifully decided to dispense with street protests and go for a house to house campaign to enlighten the people of Delhi about the ‘real’ reason behind Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest. This will spare the common man the disturbances that usually go with such street protests. But the people contact campaign presupposes that the people of Delhi are willing, even curious, to know why Kejriwal is in jail, not being educated enough to have read the newspapers. Dilliwalas, more than anyone else in India, are more than aware that Kejriwal is a puccadramebaaz.
