The Abbott Government must stand condemned for its passionate anti-climate change environmental policy. This Government, in my opinion, is even pre-industrial revolution. It is no coincidence that Adam Smiths The Wealth of Nations, Thomas Jeffersons Declaration of Independence, and the first volume of Edward Gibbons The History of the Decline and fall of the Roman Empire were all published in the same year 1776. The philosophical architects of the modern world were filled with optimism, a belief in progress, and a keen sense that they were building something new from the remnant of an old order that was collapsing around them. In Australia today, we have a government and vested interests, that care little for representative democracy and proper functioning market capitalism. We have an evil clique, a small group of people possessed with greed, led by a Prime Minister popularly elected on a lie. The original design of a representative democracy and market capitalism were both based on the assumption that Reason could be made paramount in the ongoing decisions that determined human affairs. It was Reason that prevented Australia falling into a deep depression when hit by the global financial crisis in 2008/9. Today, with the industrial carbon pollution of the earths atmosphere, it is the abandonment of Reason as a bad LNP Government changes the correct settings balancing freedom and equality and order into a policed State order, lost freedoms and little equality. At the next election, vote for politicians who understand The fair-GO.
