The Active Citizens 205 Flags Project The Active citizens 205 Flags Project aims to engage and integrate third Country Nationals (TCN) in Newham, Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets into the British society through an innovative FREE programme which includes interventions around health, careers and skills. Participants will have the opportunity to: • Learn English through ESOL provision • Take up citizenship training • Carry out volunteering training and work placement within the Barts Health NHS Trust • Apply for Barts Health NHS ring fence jobs • Benefit from motivational interviewing and taster sessions on healthy eating and smoking cessation etc • Free MOT Checks- Body Composition: height, weight, BMI, fat index, total body water, bone mass, metabolic age etc, Blood pressure check, Urine test. • Take up free physical activity in the local Leisure centre • Career progression Advice and Training Eligibility criteria: TCN is anyone who is a citizen, resident or a native of a country outside of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). To be eligible for the project people need to fulfil the following criteria: • Be a Newham resident, Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets • Be legally in the UK • Be a citizen of a non-EU country, living in the UK for less than 10 years Eligible people who have these types of visas: • Spouse • Family reunion • Tier 1 visa • Tier 2 visa • EEA resident cards • Discretionary leave • No recourse to public funds If you, or someone you know, is eligible, please forward details to [email protected]
